Whether you are helping in the classroom, organizing events, assisting with enrichment activities, or lending a hand behind the scenes, your presence makes a lasting difference.

Volunteer Requirements

The safety and protection of our students is our highest priority. To ensure a safe environment for all, all volunteers who work with or around children must complete the following before beginning service:

• Virtus (or other approved Safe Environment) training through your home parish or the Archdiocese of San Antonio
• Background check completed through your parish or other approved channel as part of the Safe Environment process

Both requirements must be completed and verified before volunteering may begin.

If you have already completed Virtus training and a background check through your parish or another Catholic organization, please provide copies of your completion certificate and clearance documentation to the SJHNA office.

If you still need to complete these steps, please contact your parish office or visit the Archdiocese of San Antonio website to find upcoming training sessions and background check procedures.
