St. John Henry Newman Academy is a Christ-centered cottage school, which is a homeschool support model. Parents maintain their role as primary educators but share the teaching load with instructors.

Children of all abilities are welcome —accelerated learners, those at grade level, and those with special needs—so siblings can learn and grow together in one community.

Classical Education

Classical education is a holistic approach to forming the mind, heart, and soul.

Rooted in the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness, this pedagogy draws on the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric) and Quadrivium (Arithmetic, Geometry, Music, Astronomy) to align learning with a child’s natural stages of development. Students engage deeply with the great works of literature, history, philosophy, and theology—cultivating the ability to think clearly, reason logically, and communicate persuasively.

As a cottage school, we are a blend of homeschool freedom and private school structure. We strive to uphold and faithfully reflect Christian values in all that we teach and do.
