What is a Cottage School?

According to the Classical Latin Tradition & Memoria Press

Within the classical education movement, particularly as articulated by Classical Latin School Association and Memoria Press, a cottage school is understood as a small, mission-driven academic community that exists between homeschooling and a full institutional school.

It is intentionally human-scaled, academically serious, and ordered toward the formation of the student rather than the expansion of an institution.
